What is ADHD?
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects brain activity, development and a child's ability to function. It is characterised by a pattern of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity that can interfere with daily activities, school attainment and relationships.
Although there used to be two different diagnoses - Attention Deficit Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder - they have now been combined into one disorder with three subtypes: predominantly inattentive, predominantly hyperactive, or combined type.
What’s in the course?

Identifying symptoms of ADHD in children
Learning effective strategies for managing ADHD, impulsiveness and emotional dysregulation
Practical steps to supporting children with ADHD

“My son has a diagnosis of ADHD, emotional dysregulation and suffers with anxiety. This impacts his life at school and at home and causes him distress. He finds it hard to communicate with his peers and adults in an appropriate manner. He gets frustrated easily and then gets overly emotional. Now, he has been empowered with a skill set for life; and his outbursts are less frequent. I can’t recommend this course enough!”
