Why is School Readiness important?

For children to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally at school, it is crucial that they have a strong base of required skills for teachers to build on when formal learning commences. From the age of two, children experience a critical period of cognitive growth, which allows them to absorb knowledge at a faster rate than at any other stage in their lives.

Early development lays the foundation for future academic success and productivity, as well as for social and emotional well-being.  It is therefore pivotal that this stage of immense growth be capitalised on.

“We have loved using the resources that Terry has provided us with for use at home. She clearly explained how we should use them and the important skills that they would be developing. Amy has enjoyed engaging with these activities and it has been a joy to see her confidence grow. It has also provided me with the opportunity to spend quality time with my daughter.”
